Garden Route National Park
The 155,000 hectare Garden Route National Park: an area as rich in history and culture as it is in biodiversity and sheer natural beauty.
Covering mountains, the coastal plain, the seashore, and (in Tsitsikamma), Africa's oldest marine protected area, the Garden Route National Park is managed in three sections - Wilderness, Knysna, and Tsitsikamma – and includes the single largest block of Afromontane forest in South Africa, as well as the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma sandstone fynbos areas.
